We are Nature Advisory

Brett Lane & Associates has changed its name to Nature Advisory

Brett Lane and Associates has been delivering high quality ecological research and management advice to clients for over 20 years. In recognition of recent and planned changes, the company has rebranded as Nature Advisory. Brett Lane, the company’s founder will remain at the heart of the organisation and will continue to lead our team and advise clients.

The company will continue to provide end to end services for developers and others requiring targeted, relevant advice on the implications of biodiversity for their projects.  Our ability to deliver for clients in a complex and dynamic legislative environment has been built on a strong and enduring core team that has developed outstanding skills in the natural sciences, understanding of legislation and regulation in different jurisdictions, and the delivery of trusted expert advice. Under the Nature Advisory banner, the same team will continue this excellent work.

The company has expanded to accommodate increased demand and to provide much faster and more responsive services. The new expanded team has required a degree of structure and specialization not seen before.  The company is also transitioning to an employee-owned business, run by a board of senior managers and owners.

New techniques have been introduced including scent-dogs for wind farm bird and bat carcass detection and monitoring, the use of drones to speed up wildlife surveys in key habitats and greatly enhanced mapping and GIS abilities. The company has also developed partnerships with international companies to ensure our clients have access to the best available science and technology to address their requirements.

We have also developed a partnership with La Trobe University, supporting a generous Botany Honours Scholarship, with the candidate being considered for employment at Nature Advisory for a year after graduation. This will ensure that our company continues to recruit the best and the brightest.

Our new brand represents our commitment to professional services and trusted advice, not just rigourous ecological research and reporting. Please contact Nature Advisory if you require advice from experts who are responsive, experienced and solution-focused.
