Degree in Biology from the University of Alicante, Spain
Master of Science (Endangered Species Recovery)
With 15 years’ experience as an ornithologist, Guille has a strong focus on endangered species management and monitoring and has been part of the Nature Advisory team since 2019, starting as a Zoologist, and progressing to an Ecologist position.
During his degree in Spain, he worked on banding migratory passerines in Mediterranean islands, surveying birds for different projects, and was awarded a scholarship to survey a new reserve in Senegal. His Master’s degree in Endangered Species Recovery at Nottingham Trent University helped him gain stronger research and legislation skills.
Guille worked as Conservation Officer for Birdlife’s partner in the Republic of Georgia, where he coordinated raptor conservation projects, data collection for the European Bird Breeding Atlas II, trained locals in birdwatching and bird monitoring, and guided birding tours.
In Nature Advisory, Guille’s work focusses on threatened vertebrate monitoring, bird utilisation surveys, and acoustic monitoring for threatened species.
When not at work, Guille can still be found birding, traveling (for birding purposes), propagating his native front-yard, and telling everyone that he does crossfit.
