Nature Advisory can assist with ecological approvals in the following ways:

• Preparation of applications for permits to remove native vegetation in Victoria, and with interstate partners in all other Australian jurisdictions

• Often, environmental regulators will require a detailed flora and fauna assessment to be submitted with a development application. Nature Advisory’s botanists and zoologists can assist you in preparing these detailed assessments and advise on related regulator requirements.

• Preparation of Referral documentation under the:
  • Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act); or
  • Victorian Environment Effects Act 1978 (EE Act).

• Nature Advisory have several senior managers highly experienced and well respected by the legal profession as specialist biodiversity expert witnesses. Their experience includes the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), Planning or Advisory Panels or Committees in a number of states and the Courts. This includes the preparation of expert witness statements and ecological advice throughout a case.

• Host details of your projects on our website. As part of the Commonwealth approval process, documentation about your project may need to be published and made available to the public for a short time. Nature Advisory can assist by hosting your project documentation on our website and assist in responding to comments as required.
