Emma has been employed with Nature Advisory since 2018 and has progressed to a Senior GIS Analyst position. Emma works on a range of projects from suburban bush block native vegetation assessments through to wind farm projects, as well as mapping for bushfire management. Since starting at Nature Advisory Emma has furthered her GIS skills in focussing on data quality, spatial analysis and managing large datasets, whilst also becoming familiar with the Victorian native vegetation regulations.
Emma has a Bachelor of Applied Science and has gained a range of experience in GIS and other technical experience related to environmental assessment.
Emma worked for five years in the United Kingdom working for The Crown Estate as a Spatial Data Specialist. Her roles were mostly GIS and cartographic data capture. Prior to living and working in the UK Emma’s work experience in Australia included GIS and Project Support roles including extensive report writing experience, as well as assisting with preparation of tenders and flora surveys.
