Inga has extensive experience in managing ecological investigations and approvals for large projects within the renewable energy sector and for residential developments. She has worked as an ecologist for over 22 years.
She studied Biology/Nature Conservation at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and Spatial Information Science at the University of Maine, USA, before moving to Australia in 2004 and finalising a PhD at Melbourne University analysing botanical monitoring data through spatio-temporal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) techniques.
Her experience as a terrestrial botanist, both in Germany and Australia, and expert knowledge in GIS analysis enable her to provide sound advice on complex projects.
Since joining Nature Advisory (formerly Brett Lane & Associates), Inga has specialised in managing flora and fauna assessments including targeted assessments for threatened species, offset management plans and vegetation condition assessments.
Inga enjoys a challenge and her calm and analytic mind has helped navigate several large projects successfully through complex approval processes.
She has managed large-scale projects in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, has prepared and reviewed numerous Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC Act) Referrals and provided input to Public Environment Reports and EES assessments. Her strong leadership skills have ensured that she delivers high quality projects on time and within budget.
Inga is a passionate Director and loves to go out in the bush to discover new species. She compensates her sometimes hectic working life with playing classical piano and singing with the Melbourne Bach Choir.
