Alan has been with Nature Advisory since 2007. As a Director & Principal Consultant, Alan has substantial experience in ecological site assessment, impact determination, and navigating regulatory approval processes across a wide range of projects.

Most of these projects have involved the development of land (subdivision, servicing and construction), delivery of infrastructure (road, rail and energy), and management of natural resources (conservation, extraction and sustainable use).

Alan has well practiced, specialised and proven skills, knowledge and understanding in relation to biodiversity and its interactions with planning schemes, legislation and policy. Alan is regularly engaged as an Expert Witness to appear at Planning Panels, VCAT hearings and court cases.

At age three, Alan convinced his parents to migrate to Australia from Ireland. He grew up on the Victorian Volcanic Plains and now likes to consider himself a migrant success story!
